A member of CMC is a part of a strong business association which altogether works on improving of business conditions. As a part of this institution each member promotes conforming to Czech legal regulations, current internal standards, contractual obligations, rules of correct and established practice and further rules mentioned below.

A member of CMC obeys good manners. They do not use unfair business practices as misleading advertising, illegal information gaining and its misuse, bribery, price agreements etc. which can endanger and do harm to other entities in the market. They provide information and services to business partners, associates and clients on the basis of objective and factual knowledge, considering their own interests. A member always informs the others of possible limitations and risks resulting from their work and calls their attention to those facts which can affect successful providing of a service. A member also advises the others of the amount of renumeration and extent of services included in the renumeration. They prevent conflicts, and in case of a conflict, they always seek conciliatory and effective solution.

A member of CMC always makes decisions regarding the actual possibility to meet their engagement. They accept only such orders which they are able to execute professionally and effectively on their own or with appropriate professional assistance; or on the basis of contractual relations with other suppliers. On the other hand they reject such orders which would be contrary to law and this ethical code. Regarding the health and safety they by all their actions create such conditions that protect their employees’ lives and health. They behave in a responsible way towards the life environment, ie. so that all exerted actions during production and service provision as well as their products are considerate towards the life environment.

A member of CMC always acts in such a way so as they protect the honour and prestige of entrepreneurship and good reputation of CMC and their own. A member activily provides such information for the other members of CMC and their own partners, which enables them to gain and maintain their own honorable status in business. They are aware of the fact that obeying the stated rules and affiliation to CMC makes them a trustworthy member of entrepreneurship.

A member of CMC acts in agreement with generally accepted moral values, acts objectively, fairly and responsibly. They avoid conflict of interest, they do not misuse their position for their own expediency and profit of a third party. Their employees are required to have the same approach.

A member of CMC also promotes conforming to legal regulations, contractual obligations and principles of business morals by other entrepreneurs and is helpful when measures are taken against those who break them.

The code is a moral obligation of a Czech Machinery Cluster member and not complying with it can be regarded as gross violation of CMC’s interests and missions see 4.4. article in Statutes, part d). This code comes into force by the approval at Members Meeting on 27 March 2013.
